Welcome to the Nativity of the Theotokos Monastery!

monastery feastday 032.jpeg

The Monastery follows the Anthonite tradition:  a monastic life centered on the liturgical cycle of the Greek Orthodox Church and where one dedicates one’s life to continuously praying the Jesus Prayer “Lord, Jesus Christ, have mercy on me.”

Upon entering the monastery grounds, we therefore ask visitors to approach their visit with a spirit of quietness and simplicity, leaving behind worldly concerns in order to gain the most benefit of their visit and to enjoy the spiritual fellowship they will encounter.

Visitation Hours

The monastery is open daily from the first morning service until 7:30 p.m. year round. During these hours unless a service is in progress, guests may visit the Chapel and our modest gift shop in the guest dining area.

Monastery Grounds

The grounds present a peaceful environment for our visitors. A playground for children is on site. Pilgrims can visit St. Seraphim’s Chapel, nestled in a wooded area on the property. There are also many sitting areas where pilgrims can enjoy views of the grounds and sit and pray or read.
